Moench Hall has been a staple of the Rose-Hulman community. Most students have or will have a class somewhere in the building, or they’ll visit a professor or attend a lab. Over last summer many of the hallways got a facelift, as did several offices, classrooms, and bathrooms. But, question shas remained as community members came back and saw the changes: how much did this cost? Is updating the aesthetics of the hallways the best way to spend school resources?

Dustin Eggink of Ratio Architects gave a presentation over the LEED certification of the New Residence Hall under construction to Rose-Hulman students and faculty yesterday. The presentation outlined what a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification meant and what the benefits of a LEED-certified building are.

The fall of a dictator


69 year-old Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi was killed in his hometown of Sirte this Tuesday by revolutionaries. Uprisings have been prominent in Libya for the past two months with Qaddafi leaving the capital city, Tripoli, and ultimately being captured and beaten and shot to death by rebels in Sirte.

This eponymous album is somewhat of a return to form for Staind. In recent years, the band has mellowed out and lost much of the intensity that made their original work so popular. However, their most recent effort brings back that energy in a big way, albeit in a somewhat different form.
