Jong Kim, Kevin Sutterer, Tatsuki Kawaguchi, Patsy Brackin, and Scott Clark sat in to discuss the recovery and rebuilding process in Japan one year following the earthquake/tsunami disaster. Jessica Reames • photo editorAlmost a year after the devastating Tohoku earthquake and subsequent tsunami hit Japan, a panel of Rose-Hulman professors and visiting faculty from the University of Aizu came together to discuss the progress of the rebuilding process. The natural disaster, which claimed 15,850 lives and caused more than $250 billion in damages, according to panelist Dr. Jong Kim, hit the eastern coast of Japan on March 11th, 2011.
