Rose-Hulman students this fall weren’t returning to the same, old Rose that they were always used to.
The coming of the new school year marks the arrival of new friends and faces and freshmen. Unknown to most students, Rose-Hulman has experienced a few new additions to the staff and faculty over the summer as well.
Students who live on campus are probably aware that there is a new residence hall in construction. Ground was broken on August 17, and if everything goes according to plan, the hall will be open and habitable next fall.
Morgan Spurlock is very good at what he does. He takes the documentary--normally a piece of nonfiction that is unpalatable to most movie audiences, spelling box office poison--and turns it into a mainstream pop-art array of fun and delight that also happens to teach you something along the way.
In my experience, you can’t do the first episode of any movie series justice. Rarely do you ever find a sequel as good as the original, much less better than the original. However, Kung Fu Panda II with Po et al. was a refreshing 3D animation on the big screen in contrast to all the Hollywood flicks and did the original “Kung Fu Panda” justice.
This is the first of what will hopefully be a recurring series of simple but delicious recipes that anyone can make.
